The technology, digital and regulatory practice at MFA Legal was established in May 2025, following the arrival of tech specialist Jorge Silva Martins  from CS’Associados; Martins advises on a wide range of matters, from AI, cybersecurity and e-commerce, to blockchain, media and telecoms issues.

Margarida Leitão Nogueira, whose expertise spans regulatory, commercial, IP, tech and data protection issues, is another key practitioner. Former co-head Daniel Reis left the firm in early 2026.

pbbr - Sociedade de Advogados RL is sought out by domestic clients for its technological expertise, advising on software licensing, cloud-based solutions (PaaS and SaaS), Agile multi-vendor IT projects, IP management, and cybersecurity matters. Adriana Alves Henriques is another key practitioner who stands out for her deep understanding of emerging digital challenges. Former practice head Carina Branco left the firm in March 2026.

PRA - Raposo, Sá Miranda e Associados is home to a specialised TMT practice that is well equipped to handle a variety of media, IT, telecoms and data protection matters for several domestic clients. The group is recognised for its expertise in drafting and negotiating distribution, supply, partnership, collaboration and commercial agreements related to TMT services. Leading the practice is Gonçalo Gil Barreiros, who excels in IP and privacy mandates.

With a particular focus on the tech sector, the TMT practice at Antas da Cunha Ecija is adept at assisting with AI, data privacy, cybersecurity and digital economy issues, as well as tech transactions. Bird & Bird LLP opened its Lisbon office in September 2025 with the arrival of Ana Rita Paínho, formerly of Sérvulo & Associados, who is recognised for her strong experience in IT matters, including e-commerce, marketing, advertising, and software-related issues. Following the departure of Ana Rita Paínho and a team of associates, Sérvulo & Associados' TMT offering is now overseen by Pedro Vidigal Monteiro and Ana Ferreira Neves, who joined from TELLES in December 2025. Vidigal Monteiro focuses on TMT, data protection and cybersecurity matters, regularly advising on tech contracts, digital business structures, new tech product launches and AI solutions. Ferreira Neves is noted for her experience in e-commerce, R&D agreements for new tech, and software licensing, among other matters.
