EEA and competition in Iceland

LOGOS

The EEA and competition team at LOGOS is a leader in the space, as exhibited by its broad range of work, which encompasses content distribution, abuse of dominant position, transmission rights, and alleged breaches of the Competition Act. The team regularly works before the Competition Authority and has recently represented a client in an investigation by the EFTA Surveillance Authority. Co-practice heads Helga Óttarsdóttir and Gunnar Sturluson continue to lead the team, bringing strong experience in European law and competition law, respectively, with both having litigated before the Supreme Court. Halldór Brynjar Halldórsson continues to support with his extensive litigation expertise, and Vilhjálmur Herrera Þórisson also supports the team.

At BBA//Fjeldco, the EEA and competition team is led by Halldór Karl Halldórsson, who is a strong presence in the corporate law space and regularly advises on competition law matters, and Einar Baldvin Árnason, who similarly has experience in corporate law, as well as banking and finance, having advised on a merger between two major Icelandic financial institutions.
